Brief Introduction of Department
The department of Ophthalmology is located on the First Floorof the Old Building Block of the hospital. For the period of 1st April 2022 to 31st March 2023, a total attendance of 33160 patients was recorded in the OPD with 328 admissions. A total of 6181 refractions were carried out.
Department regularly participates in Health Check-up camps organized by the hospital. OPD days of the department are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with OT on Tuesday and Saturday. The department conducts Glaucoma Clinic as a special clinic.
The Department of Ophthalmology organized a Glaucoma Detection Camp on 02.03.2023 during the ESIC Special Services Fortnight 2023.The camp was preceded by a public lecture to enhance awareness regarding Glaucoma amongst our beneficiaries. The department also participated enthusiastically in the Health exhibition held in the hospital on 10.03.23.
