The Department is located on the second floor in the OT complex. It handled 11655 Surgeries and 4200 PACs during the period 1st April 2023 to 31st March 2024.

The Routine OT operates on all days except Sundays. Emergency surgeries are done 24X7.

Special healthcare facilities for patients are provided in the form of PAC clinic and Pain relief for operated Patients. Total of 4200 PACs were done in this year.

The Department has a 10 bed ICU.

 Milestones and Achievements (Year 2023 -2024)

1. Total no of surgeries done - 11655

2. Total no of PAC done - 4200

3. 05 new modular OTs started in July 2022

4. ASA III and IV patients are being operated successfully.

5. DNB in Anesthesia Department started in 2022 and now 2 primary and 2 secondary students are currently working in the department.  

 6.  Regular seminars and classes are being conducted for DNB students.

 7. Critically ill patients are being managed well in ICU round the clock. ( C.K.D , CARDIAC ,NEUROLOGY, ONCOLOGY ).

8. Successfully running PAC clinic

 9. Round the clock post-operative recovery facility .

10. 24 hours emergency OT and ICU services are being provided for patients.

11. PSA plants, Manifold and CSSD facilities are available.

12. New Anesthesia workstation installed in March 2023

13. Active participation was done in ESIC fortnight in the form of BLS training programme in March 2024

14. Spine surgeries started under C –arm guidance.

15. Department of Anesthesia has many publications/research papers to its credit.
